Lemberg Trio aim to record the Neumeyer music

Neumeyer concert2

The concert at the partially restored synagogue in Görlitz in May 2014, immediately after the installation of the Stolpersteine to honour holocaust victims, including Hans Neumeyer’s father, Martin Ephraim

Following the Lemberg Trio’s exciting premiere of two works by Hans Neumeyer last month, they have announced plans to make a CD of the works so that these pieces can become known to a wider public. They also propose to rename their chamber group the Neumeyer Trio in honour of Hans Neumeyer. The violinist Roman Fedchuk has been in contact with me about it.

The performance at the partially restored Synagogue in Görlitz was the first time both works had been performed live. The trio had been performed in Murcia earlier this year, and one movement of it had been previously performed at the Imperial War Museum in London.
